Agreed, their intention and attitude isn't of respectfully educating. Instead they belittle and mock him because they think it's funny. How is that positive human behavior?

Did you listen to what she said? She said that he told them that it wasn't up for discussion, which once again goes back to the reoccuring white superiority complex thinking that they have the right to tell minority groups what they shouldn't be offended by.

That's like someone coming up to you who knows nothing about who you are, telling you your whole family is full of rapists and druggies and that it's not up for you to decide. How are you going to lie about who I am and what I've been through and then tell me I don't even have the right to rebut it?

This boy clearly came into that classroom ready to start a fire and basically expected all the minorities to sit there quietly with their hands in their laps like he didn't just completely mock their struggles, but it ended up backfiring just as it should have. Bye.

Lol that's a disgusting generalization and completely false. Whites aren't the majority on every continent and they aren't always surrounded by people of their own race. I lived in Southern Africa for two years. Was I oppressed? Not really, but I definitely know how it feels to be the only white person in the room.

I think this video is very interesting. It was odd to see him try to come for others like that. He should have definitely been more respectful and open in his approach, but so should all of the children who were snapping/clapping.

It's just kind of weird that people think there is such thing as "reverse racism." Racism is just racism, no matter who it's directed at. I mean, you can try to mangle the word to fit your own agenda, but technically under the definition, anyone is capable of being racist.

If you want a word that signifies and symbolizes systematic oppression, then a new word should be invented. But you can't simply enter the dictionary and decide to change the meaning of a word. I agree with what these people are saying, but the debate over the word "racism" is taking away from the actual point that everyone is trying to use. Not everybody is on the same page, so create a new one. That way, it's a win-win.

And POC can be very ignorant/uneducated on racism and other issues relating to it. This is not to say that you shouldn't listen to someone of color when they talk about these issues, but just because you belong to a minority group does not make you an expert on oppression. So some need to stop with the condescending and abrasive attempts to "educate" others.

It shouldn't be up for discussion when there are definitions that clearly explain what racism is and those definitions do not exclude any race.

If you honestly think he went into a Race and Social Justice club where over half the people are POC with such a hot button topic that is debated almost every single day on this forum alone and thought no one would say anything thats funny. He knew a debate was coming hence the last slide telling them to think before they speak.
