I love it but all my friends don't. I might be a wierdo but I found the song kinda epic in emotion. Maybe its polarizing. The screaming part made my friends want it turned off while I was thinking I love this part.

I like it as well, but it seems like the Alive part knocks some people out Maybe take a few of the Alives would have been better lol but I like it a lot!

1000Fof is better because it shows the personality and authenticity of Sia as an artist. This is Acting is serving what the title serves to be..."ACTING" Only the vocals are very Sia but lyrical content ...nah

Birds Set Free and Alive are very lyrically Sia to me, but I agree that One Million Bullets and of course Cheap Thrills is a far cry from her signature sound/early work.

Yeah, same here. Every single time I had friends over and played "Alive", they forced me to turn it off as soon as she started screaming in the chorus.

Actually, I don't get why so many people dislike her new material. I've always liked "Chandelier", "Elastic Heart", "Free the Animal" and "Breathe Me", but besides that, I've never really cared for Sia and her music. Her releases this era, though, have made me an absolute stan. E.g. "One Million Bullets" might be the best vocal performance I've ever witnessed in my life. There's something so captivating and touching about how she's creating those shaky echoes with her voice, and it pains me to see how much hate this song gets only because people wouldn't take their time listening to it more than once since it's not as catchy as her previous stuff. She's basically a musical genius, and arguably the most experimental and talented singer/songwriter of our time.

Yes, except for "One Million Bullets", that is the only song on the album that was not written for another artist.
