See Marina is my favorite artist so if I just rate her songs (compared to average songs) she'd get a lot of 10s. So instead, what I do in rates like this is compare all of her songs (or any artist, I'm using her as an example) to her best song. Her best song is 10 or 11. While she has many great songs I know they aren't as good as her best, hence why I would never give them a 10 as well.
