Honestly, after some research, I totally agree w/ Rih. This woman studied African culture from since she was a little girl, she was going to "black" university, she loves black culture and identifies with it. After the whole thing was undercovered, it really raised discussion about "damn, race can't be an object of self-identification!" But it's culture thing at core, not "race I am born to". And it showed up so much racism and prejudices. Assume people just aren't ready for this idea of "race & culture might be objects of identification". Watch people switching racial features in the future, as they do with sex nowadays.

I mean homegirl was the damn leader and spokesperson of her local NAACP. She wasn't any Becky trying be black because it's cool.
I don't think it's wrong what she did, it's more how she did it. But then again she didn't harm anyone nor herself. But the **** was funny tho.
