I don't think she can ever release another 'Hurt' since it's so emotional. Only if something really tragic happens in her life (Like, her Husband / Baby dies) then maybe she can pull another Hurt.
Lift Me Up is an emotional song, as evident in the first line: "So the pain begins, as the music fades".
Are people forgetting that hurt only peaked at number 19? I can't see her matching it if she releases another ballad, hurt was amazing and even then that was not enough to ensure chart success.
I don't know, some people seem to think that she'd be having more success if she released another ballad similar to "Hurt", but "Hurt" was never a big hit in the first place. It defies logic.

I guess people think she could get another 'Beautiful' by releasing a ballad, not another 'Hurt'. But some just want to delude themselves into thinking 'Hurt' was also a hit.
The single is not really done... It will recover a bit in the album release week... But don't expect it to enter top 10 that much... But who knows.....
I don't think a ballad would save this album, they are not that popular anymore. The next single is more than likely going to be "Glam". Hopefully it can live up to the hype, because it sounds good from what we have been told. Although, they are going to be biased.
I'm going to have to give it to "Beautiful" as the best ballad and i'm not sure if it counts as a ballad, but did anyone like "On Our Way", I love that song
