Late October is perfect. Gives the song time to build momentum so that it can be everywhere/peaking during Christmas.
Retail stores will surely start selling Christmas merchandise by late October too so I don't see an issue with early timing or anything. Since we're in Q4 now I think early bird gets the Hot 100 #1.
Not sure if this is gonna smash like Mariah or flop like Kelly Clarkson's attempt with "Underneath the Tree". I sincerely thought was gonna be the new AIWFCIY, its really catchy but it flopped
