Thanks for pulling this up!
so Bruno had at least three top three hits in 2010 with NOY, JTWYA and Grenade. For 2014's original question, I think this answers it.
Bruno's the last male to score three or more top three hits in a single year (nonconsecutive).

I lowkey like this Hot 100 year I like the diversity of genres and how there wasn't two songs that dominated for five months This is what the Hot 100 should look like.

Why are you guys posting Billboard chart history?
Well I personally think this is the most exciting few weeks we've had in the recent years:
Which will be a similiar situation this time around, just with men.

I have a weird feeling Justin might get blocked from no.1 somehow, given his bad luck and how messy Billboard is i wouldn't be surprised

I'm going to expand and see if I can find others.

Timbaland (2007):
"Give It To Me (feat. Justin Timberlake and Nelly Furtado)" (#1)
"The Way I Are (feat. Keri Hilson and D.O.E.)" (#3)
"Apologize (feat. OneRepublic)" (#2)

Looks like an urban rule to me. I believe Britney Spears is the only non black number one.
Edit: And Pink

Here's the chart points based off of Kworb's predictions, streaming data, and radio updates.
What Do You Mean?
Sales: 341,000 = 34,100
Radio: 30 million = 3,000
Streaming: 20 million = 26,667
Total: 63,767 Points
Can't Feel My Face
Sales: 150,000 = 15,000
Radio: 145 million = 14,500
Streaming: 15 million = 20,000
Total: 49,500 Points
It's not even close. Bieber has this in the bag.

So even if you remove WDYM?'s radio points, he'd still have it.

Yep, plus his sales might even be higher, as well as his streaming. Everyone's underestimating his power.

Yeah, I was making early predictions yesterday and Bieber really has it this week
Sales difference is enough to compete with Abel's Airplay and he's likely gonna pull some monster numbers on Streaming. Almost 9M coming from On-Demand alone. I believe he could end up with some 23M streams
A really monster comeback

Agree. He will easily make up the radio difference with sales and he can't have less streams than CFMF.
20 million even seems a bit low of an estimate.

This should have been High By The Beach by Lana Del Rey, but Americans don't have a taste for masterpiece music, I had a little bit of hope when Billboard said she debuted at #7, but I guess not...
Congratz to Biebs tho, ha first #1
2014 was slayed by pop gurls, 2015 is year of men!

I'm really surprised that El Perdon is still charting.

No where, he only has sale predictions (which he posted). The streaming I used is a low estimate.

No one really know about the song since it's not getting radio play.

Speaking of Kworb, BB said CFMF would do around 150k (Kworb says 153k), which is not far, yet BB said Bieber would do around 300k and Kworb says 341K.
Is Kworb actually overestimating WDYM? or is BB trying to keep it low?

BB always tries to be conservative with estimates, although it's interesting 'cause they predicted 340k for 1D, we'll see. I think Bieber is definetely gonna do 300k+

Y'know, if you look only at the heights of the year, 2015 does not look bad compared to other years this decade.
The 5th-highest peaking song is Thinking Out Loud with 314k, possibly replaced soon by Bieber which Kworb pegs for 341k.
Not counting Christmas sales, the 5th-highest 2014 peaker was Blessed Space with 342k and the 5th-highest 2010 peaker was Mine with 297k.
Even if you look only at the second halves of years (minus Xmas), which is when things have gotten dire in 2015:
2010's back half only had one song hit 300k weekly, Love the Way You Lie. 2011's back half had no songs hit 300k in a week. 2015's back half has both One Direction and Bieber, which would put it ahead of both of them.
