IMO both cigs and weed should not be legal, for one cigs are SO much more harmful than weed, which mean many find weed instead which stinks, looks dodgy, and for 3 of my close friends and many more I know became a gateway drug and they moved onto more illegal substances. I feel very strongly about this, and NOTHING will change my mind about it. This world is immoral enough without more things demoralising it
well your friend are idiots. 4/5 of my friends smoke weed but less than 1/5 have used it as a stepping stone for other drugs, in fact they loathe other drugs. It's all about education, not naivety.
My brother smoked weed all the time, then started suffering from depression and being paranoid.
He's stopped now and is miles better.

I don't think he got depressed because he was smoking weed. Actually, there's a higher possibility that he started smoking weed because he was already depressed. Studies show that alcoholics, smokers or other drug addicts start because of emotional or mental stress. Glad that he is better now.

He started smoking it when he was a teenager and carried on till he was about 30, I'm sure this had some sort of impact on him but as I said idk much about it.
While I don't think it should be illegal (I believe that people should be able to do what they want as long as they're not posing a threat to other people, which marijuana use doesn't), the people in this thread who are claiming there is absolutely nothing bad about weed and denying every fact brought up by people who are against it are being just as ignorant as the people they're accusing of being too "overdramatic". Is it the worse thing in the world to consume? No. Are alcohol and/or cigarettes worse for you? Probably. But "not being the worst thing out there" or "well nobody's ever flat-out died from it" isn't exactly the same thing as "there's nothing bad about it".
I don't smoke it so I don't know if it's bad or good, all I know is that **** ****in stank. So stay away from me of you smokin that shot cause I like to smell fresh and lovely. Thanks.
