Not many of you may know it, but I'm a country music fan. Artists like Carrie Underwood, Love and Theft, and of course this band which has the 90th biggest track of the year, Rascal Flatts. "Here Comes Goodbye" is a very heartbreaking song, with such sad lyrics delivered emotionally well.
One of the less mainstream songs on my list, newcomer band "There For Tomorrow" checks in at #89 with a powerful rock track called "A Little Faster." I really love their album and the beat of their songs, add to that the maturity in their lyrics. Hope you can check them out too.
Demi is up next with a Kelly Clarkson-esque track HWGA. Love this song because Demi sings with a lot of conviction and Im glad that she can pull off these kinds of songs.
Canada represent! (Yeah I think theyre from Canada.) Anyway, their previous album called Seven Second Surgery gave them a mark as one of the bands to look forward to. They make nice power ballads and melodic alternative-punkish tracks. On their new album though, they have come out with some songs sounding a bit like Cobra Starship and Metro Station, but it doesnt take away the fact that they still make awesome ballads. This song is one of the Cobra Starship-like songs which will make you want to g-get up and dance.
Every time I listen to this song, I feel a little meaner and that's what made me like this song. LMAO. It just gives you a certain level of confidence. This is Beyonce's second entry in the Top 100. She's got another one which is high above there on the list.
Album must have a single released in 2009.

Opening up the upper half of the countdown to the biggest album of the year is The Fray. I feel that the album is a little too monotonous but there's something about it that makes me want to listen to it more everytime. Most of the tracks are good tracks to listen to with the right mood, but there are also mid-tempo songs to lighten the ambiance a bit. What's better about this album is that there are radio-friendlier tracks in it as reflected on tracks "You Found Me" and "Never Say Never" which are at least Top 10 and Top 15.
STANDOUT TRACKS:
• "Syndicate"
• "You Found Me"
• "Never Say Never"
• "Fair Fight"
As always, Lifehouse released another amazing lite-alternative track this time in "Halfway Gone." Its a track with a nice generic beat, but despite the happy melody, is a sad story behind.
I never thought that I'll like another Offspring song after their string of same-sounding punk tracks. But this one nailed it. Its a sad song about a girl that was betrayed and molested at a young age.
First entry coming from FOB comes in at #83, a very nice slow-tempo ballad to end their Folie era.
It may sound extremely similar to a Chris Brown or a Ne-Yo song, but it doesnt matter, coz this one totally made everyone stand and walk to the middle and start partying.
This song may not reach the success of Pink's 2008 hit "So What," but this is a good song to show a relatively different side of Pink (aside from Sober).
Album must have a single released in 2009.

This album doesnt need a handful of intro. If you can have 2 songs from your album that can stay half a year atop the Billboard Hot 100, then youre album must be something.
STANDOUT TRACKS:
• "Imma Be"
• "Meet Me Halfway"
• "I Gotta Feeling"
• "Alive"
