Mega-divas Kelly Clarkson and Britney Spears faced off twice in this round, and Kelly came out victorious in both instances - though just barely - leaving Britney completely eliminated from the tournament. "I Do Not Hook Up," Kelly's third song still left in this competition, was not so lucky, narrowly being defeated by "I'm Yours." Meanwhile, 2009 may have been a banner year for both Lady Gaga and Beyonce, who also started this tournament with tons of songs in the running, but they also had their final flames extinguished this round. "Paparazzi" lost out to "Obsessed," and Beyonce had two major hits defeated. It was a good round for bands, as #1 seed The All-American Rejects, Daughtry, The Veronicas, Cobra Starship, and Boys Like Girls move on. But it's the end of the road for Cinderella story "Meet Me Halfway" - at #78, our lowest seed left in the competition - which loses out to "That's Not My Name," another surprise success.
