I think what is upsetting feminists is the message she is distributing to impressionable young children, they don't know better at their age and are more likely to embrace the outdated idea of a women living her life to please a man.
I just don't understand. I love the song and I felt like maybe I was missing something bc I just don't get the uproar about this so I went to read the lyrics and still... I don't see anything wrong. The song is basically saying "You take care of me and I'll take care of you".
Are they mad because she was scrubbing the floor on the video? Do women not clean their houses anymore or something? Let me know bc I didn't get the memo. I didn't know cleaning the floor was anti-feminist.

Feminism aside,Meghan Trainor is indeed pretty pathetic. Her fat acceptance anthem is the one of the last things this overly obese country needed. She needs to leave
I don't understand how some of you can be so vile and insensitive & most of it is because she's overweight or simply because she makes music you don't like
****ing hell, you guys are so bitter and lifeless it's sad to read
Reading is fundamental before writing essays that make you look like a complete fool.
The song's lyrics are actually very feminist... Trying to capitalize on the stupidity of the writer by dragging Meghan is cute. Just don't expose your lack of comprehension skills while doing so. If anything this song encourages women to demand respect for their jobs and what they do while being at home.
Wow, as a huge feminist, I'm just offended by how Meghan once again appropriated our beliefs for her monetary gains. Now she's setting us back rather than forwarding us like Emma Watson has worked so hard to do in recent times along with other great feminists like Lorde and Beyoncé. This is ridiculous. Meghan needs to stop being this problematic.
