and I disagree...but I don't know what your deal is considering that I, like most people in this thread, think that MTV should allow her to perform her next single

I think her nomination had several things behind it...

1) she was allowed to perform some of her own music on the HSM tour in South America, so it made more people familiar with her music

2) this is her first album post HSM tour

3) she was nominated because she decided to make an album that was more her/more mature and MTV liked that and nominated her for her album as a whole

I think MTV should allow her to perform her next single...generally that is what most award shows allow when a person has moved on to their next single

no where does it say that its only for IAIO...no where

because if she was nominated for only IAIO, it would have been nominated in itself...

she was nominated on her contribution as a whole...not just one video IMO

she had success in South America with her first album and she continued that success with her 2nd album...
