Yes because some of the names on the list have defined the music of the 2010's so far, the old sound/ style that has been dominating pop radio for the last couple of years, a big part of it is because of bruno and then you have new artists like Meghan Trainer saying how bruno has inspired her sound. When it comes to pop music since the beginning of 2010, Bruno Mars name is a big part of it.

I am not surprised though, Billboard has always been biased to certain artists and bruno has never been one of them.

If Nicki has not redefined Hip Hop with actual music then with what? Gimmicks and crazy outfits, I mean her last huge partly hip hop song was super bass and that was at 2010. See that's why BB can't be taken seriously?

Nicki branded herself and during the Pink Friday era she was massive. She pushed her music and image and for a hip hop female her success and crossover was a big deal. Now, I'm no Nicki stan so I can't argue the logistics and details, primarily cause I simply don't care enough to. I'm just giving my reason on why she was included. Only mainstream successful female rapper.

Now, I don't care too much for BB myself, I just find it funny how certain people didn't make this list.
