This post understood what Gaga is saying. Watch everyone else pretend this is some omission of delusion or self-obsession because they feel they're equipped to start their comments with "The problem with Lady Gaga/ARTPOP is..."

She literally acknowledges rather than ignores the album and era have taken a beating from the media, which is true. Then she says she's happy that it still managed to inspire the hundreds of thousands of people who are attending her tour which she considers a success, but I guess that's: believing her own hype/getting too big for her shoes/being complacent/being pretentious/being a flop/insert generic insult as if it applies/etc.

There is nothing wrong with artists expressing their feelings. Gaga was never bragging when she was successful, never made it about the success and when she flopped, the whole media made it about the success and she got annoyed. The important thing to her is all the crowds at her concert, singing every word to her songs, and that's what she is saying.

I am so ****ing glad Gaga went through this and now she can release whatever the **** she wants and she can be less bothered if it will flop or smash etc.

I think maybe it was for the best that she went through this "underperforming" era.. Remember how she was saying "All the songs are composed for radio" just so she can please everyone that was saying she needs more radio friendly songs after BTW (even tho 80% from ARTPOP is not even close to being radio friendly and she just said it so people can shut up)... Now she can care less, for real.
