It's obvious this was just a business misunderstanding and there is no reason for Taylor to be dramatizing the situation as if it was devastating to her life or something.

Honestly, even if Katy did do something mean to Taylor, that doesn't change the fact that Taylor continues to try and heighten her career by making herself look like a victim. I don't understand why anyone would be a fan of someone so petty. All her breakups, the Kanye incident, and this Katy incident all have something in common. After all of them she has made it a mission to write songs about them and try and put the media and GP against them to further push her own career. She is the one that continues to bring these issues to the public and make money off them. She is the one who dramatizes personal situations for her own gain. Not so much of a victim after all huh?

Enough with the "Taylor playing the victim card" line. It's old. She's young and vulnerable. People in the industry tend to feed on that. Believe it or not everyone has a secret agenda.

There's always two sides to a story. I'm not mad at Taylor or Katy. I vent and process things in my life with Netflix and Vodka, Taylor does it with pen and paper. We can't get mad at Taylor for writing about it. It's her life and she can do whatever the hell she wants. I'm sure Katy has written songs about people, I.E. Circle the Drain, Ghost, It Takes Two. So when Taylor does it - it's not okay? Come on people grow up. Think about how contradictory you're being.

Face it, this industry has some demons in it. Not everyone is as it seems. And until you're in it, you really can't jump to conclusions and state facts about it.

I feel like if any other pop girl did this Taylor wouldn't have taken it so personally. Like, if Britney did this I doubt Taylor would have written a song about it. You guys need to stop looking at things so ''black and white''. It's plausible that there was built up betrayal Taylor had felt with Katy and this one move was probably the straw that broke the camels back. I feel like Katy's intentions were pure and that she never intended to harm Taylor in anyway (honestly, I don't even think the offers came directly from Katy herself). I think Katy is just as surprised as we are that Taylor feels this way about her. Katy just has a personality where you either get her or you don't. Long story short, I think Taylor dislikes Katy for other reasons (most likely about John) but doesn't want to admit it because she feels like people will ridicule her for being upset over an ex (yet again) so she's just using any excuse to write a diss track about Katy. As for Katy, if she wanted to sabotage Taylor's career she would do WAY more than steal 3 dancers away from her I mean who goes to a Taylor Swift show to check out the dancing? Maybe there are more underground secrets we don't know about but from my impression, it seems like Taylor has disliked Katy for years and that the ''dancer situation'' probably pushed her over the edge.

1) Knowing what we know of Katy Perry's career involvement and the amount of organisation that goes into planning such a massive world tour, such a menial task of scouting around for some backup dancers was obviously done by one of her employees and not the star herself

2) That employee probably just emailed lots of dancer agents and agencies to hire people, and obviously the first place they would have looked was the same familiar dancers Katy has worked with before

3) That employee would have no way of knowing and no reason to know what those dancers were doing when sending out the offer. Why would Katy's team bother to keep tabs on what all the many hundreds of staff employed for the last world tour were doing years after it ended? They were just sending out offers and contracts, and if the dancers were already employed they would be expected to decline.

4) There may well be bad blood between the two stars. But what seems more plausible - Katy Perry, who remained classy even during the gaga feud, decided that 1) she didn't like taylor and 2) she wanted to sabotage her career and an entire arena tour and 3) she was going to do this by poaching a few crummy backup dancers from a taylor swift concert in full view of the public, a move that would come across as petty and bitter?

Or that Taylor Swift is just jumping on yet another tired and predictable opportunity to play the victim?

Grow up Taylor. I can see how from your perspective it might have seemed like an intentional sabotage, but once again you need to come to the realization that not every little thing that happens is about you.

Hit the nail on the head. And I was telling my friend the exact same thing. Hiring three dancers away from you is in no way trying to sabotage a whole arena tour. What a reach. And I also agree with the part where Taylor is probably very sensitive. Katy tells it how she sees it, whether one likes it or not. 95 percent of the time she's being tongue in cheek, but some people misconstrue it and get offended. I've had that problem myself. I'm sure she would never insult Taylor on purpose at an award show where there are boatloads of media.
