There something so beautifully melancholic about the Ultraviolence video. It's hilarious that she's being criticized for the very thing that made her famous. Home-made videos. This video perfectly captures the aesthetic she's been talking about this era. It's just a snapshot of a much larger picture.

Major labels have ruined artistry in music and it seems like most I've you would be satisfied with a cookie-cutter product.

Um half of her videos are fairly high budget productions, especially Born To Die and Ride. Shades of Cool and Blue Jeans appeared to be simple and low budget yet they were her most beautiful videos. There's no reason to put out a video as boring and basic as this.

I dont get the hate...I mean Lana can makes some AMAZING videos, but I feel like this is still a great video. It actually REALLY fits with the song...there is something sad and haunting about the song and that shows in the video...it fits with the message...

Lana makes tonnes of videos, look at BTD, PE and then some with Tropico. Lana loves visually portraying her songs, and this is clearly what her vision is for the song and obviously not everyone will like it but its not gonna ruin her career lmao, there will be more vids i hope ala SOC.

The video isn't intricate, but its cool, simple, but dynamic, much like the song. Its very refreshing and has a mellow uniqueness to it. The video is more than likely how she perceives and visualizes the song to be itself. She looks like she had fun.

Cut her some slack. As many have said this is probably how she wanted the video to be like, and what she perceives the visuals of the song to be. That makes it a lot more special anyways, having such creative control over your own works. Chill and let her have this one, even if it was shot on a damn Iphone with a filter...
