T.I. feat. Rihanna - Live Your Life
T.I. and Rihanna joined forced to provided T.I. with his second #1 off of "Paper Trail". The song itself is an instant classic. The video was amazing too. "Life Your Life" was the perfect third single (I'm still counting "No Matter What" :rolleryes

and apparently the Billboard Charts agree. Nuff' said.

Keri Hilson - Energy
"Energy" was great, but let's be real...she really just neeeds to give it up for 09 before Ciara takes her on a "Fantasy Ride". Just saying. After "Energy" failed to spark any interest among U.S. radios and Chris Brown's "Superhuman" flopping, she needs to really just stick to the behind the scenes work. I know in on my old ATRL blog, I touted her as the next big R&B star, but that just isn't the case anymore.

Day 26 - Since You've Been Gone
Produced by Bryan Micheal-Cox, "Since You Been Gone" was released as Day 26's (of Making The Band 4) second single from their debut album. Even though this song is no different from any other song Cox is responsible for crafting, this one was amazing. The video was cheap and predictable (Diddy style of course), but obviously, that is the standard for all R&B videos.

Nas feat. Keri Hilson - Hero
"Hero" was released as the "lead single" (again, a term I use loosely, because he DID release "Be A N***** Too"

). With Polow on production and Keri Hilson doing the hook singing, "Hero" was one of my favorite singles released this year. I Imagined it would have been a hit, but you win some, you lose some.

11. Kanye West - Love Lockdown
I'm willing to look past that horrible VMA Performance because "Love Lockdown clocks in at #11 this year! (Kanye won't be #1 this year---just a heads up.) The vocoder and the singing...the drumms...just amazing! I can't get over that boring video, but it'll do.
