I still don't understand how Xtina's sales (or lack of) are relevant to the fact that BEYONCE is a frontloaded era. It has had one remotely notable hit. The rest of the singles bombed. And with them, the album sales dropped off a cliff into nothing. She needs singles for successful albums, just like every other singer

Let's remember that her last single, "Just a Fool", which was released just 11 months before Say Something, barely charted and featured a country artist whose last two singles were Top 40 hits and #1 on Country Airplay.

She hasn't had a platinum selling album since 2006. So what does Christina need? Album sales dropped off the cliff? 2XP dear. When was the last time Christina seen that for an album? I'll wait.. Over half the songs on the last leg of The Mrs. Carter Show weren't big hits and after that horrible experience of being forced to watch Beyoncé perform non-hit songs people still went and purchased even more expensive tickets to see her perform again and this time with a man who has even less hit singles than her. I'm not dissing #1 singles or hits at all, they're great to have. They help give an album/era legs. But Beyonce has proven that her star doesn't dem without having #1 singles.
