First small review for Reach out and it's positive though I think they are referring to Joe Bermudez's remix about the Rihanna bit.
Rihanna first reached the top of the pop singles chart by sampling a classic electronic pop hit, Soft Cell's "Tainted Love," on her #1 smash "S.O.S." Now it looks like Hilary Duff is trying out a similar gambit. Her new single "Reach Out" welds a huge chunk of Depeche Mode's "Personal Jesus" with Duff's new pop lyrics and vocals courtesy collaboration with Ryan Tedder, leader of OneRepublic and one of the hottest producers in the pop music industry.
My guess is this is not quite the ace in the hole Rihanna had borrowing from "Tainted Love." However, kudos to Hilary Duff and Ryan Tedder for reminding us all of the genius of the original "Personal Jesus."
