I think it would be so, SO nice if she attended and MTV just quit the **** and finally gave her an award. It's not like the VMAs mean anything anymore, but it would be so nice for her to FINALLY get one and I would absolutely love to see her acceptance speech. It would be so cute.

Cleaned-up star to host MTV awards with Russell

Vip would love to have been there if RUSSELL BRAND and BRITNEY SPEARS had met before they sorted their lives out...
But the pair have cleaned up their acts (well, ish) - and managed to get on with some work when they did hook up.
Comic Russ, 33, and pop star Britney, 26, will present the MTV Video Music Awards in September.
Meanwhile, reformed Britney also showed she is juggling work and motherhood well. She treated sons Sean Preston, two, and Jayden James, one, to a day out near her Bel Air home in LA.
Brit lost custody of her children to ex-hubby KEVIN FEDERLINE, 30, after a court battle. But she is allowed to have them three times per week.
The singer has certainly turned things around. In February she was admitted to a psychiatric ward after she was apparently seen talking to trees.
