Pointing out the obvious fact that pop sells less albums than country, but pop sells more singles. Will she have an era as successful as Breakaway? No. She absolutely hated her life during that era so she wouldn't even want that for herself. If you don't believe me when I say she hated her life, listen to My December (particularly Irvine).

Kelly typically sells out, but I will admit that her venues are smaller because she's not as a big of a touring act. But, I'm here for the music. I've yet to see her in concert, unfortunately.

I had posted a mid tempo album track in comparison, in which people argued that wasn't fair to compare a song like that to Stronger. THAT is when I changed the comparison to IKYWT.

Both of those albums went Platinum, Stronger won a Grammy and WIR could win one next year (got fantastic reviews). SO yes, people are responding to her amazing quality music.

And not you pointing out WIR's first week sales, a Christmas album released in October with no promo whatsoever before it came out. Those sales were great for the circumstances, and it stayed in the Top 10 every week until the year was over, selling over 100k several weeks.

Some of the absolute desperation and reaching in this thread.

I like Taylor, I think she's the better songwriter of the two, but Kelly is the much much better singer and there's a few other reasons why I think she's better overall.

Yes because ATRL is the entire GP. And I'm not quite sure if winning a poll on ATRL is much of an achievement nor is it something to really brag about

lol, no. That song is one of the biggest songs of the decade. Constantly makes "best songs of the 2000's" lists, even a few best songs of all time lists, it gave Dr. Luke his start and Max Martin a rejuvenation in his career, etc. That song was huge and is still referenced today in movies & TV Shows.

And no, Kelly doesn't hate them at all, she loves them.
