Honestly, I would. Not seeing Beyoncé in the Top 10 never really feels right.

Not a chance. "BEYONCÉ" is platinum and critically-acclaimed. Who cares about a Top 10?

Right
And as I just stated if XO was #1 on iTunes right now nobody would be talking about it except Chart obsessed people on music forums. It wouldn't be anything record breaking nor would it be getting press and coverage.
I don't understand what's so hard to comprehend?

On top of that, Bey could've EASILY traded her platinum album for a top ten had she released a single the way she did the album... She made her decision.

First of all, Drunk in Love is already a top 10 hit, so this thread is already in error. Second of all, her album is platinum ww in 9 days at 15.99 a pop. And you are worried over a .99cent single? But like I said before, Drunk in Love is already a top 10 hit. I see folks are stil seething about the Kang's album history making success.

We'd love hit singles, only because we respect her and think she deserves it. But I don't think any of us would sacrifice the album's sales and impact for it. No thanks.

I agree with this 110% Great answer.

I'll take a hit single any day over a hit album! An example is Applause success, having spent weeks in the Top 10, despite Artpop being an average seller.

Yeah... I think that's the kind of situation Bey is trying to avoid...
She financed this whole project herself (Parkwood), she needs to see a return.... She's not gonna get that by selling a single.

Sacrifice BEYONCÉ sales and impact for a top ten hit?
A whole body of work just for 1 top 10 single? No Thanks.

And yet all everyone can talk about is how Artpop (the album) is underperforming. Most people probably don't even know "Dope" went Top 10.

Yes, but that is the tone of 85% of the responses in this thread -- that having a
hit single is "beneath Beyoncé" and selling albums is all that matters. And
as a fanbase, "we don't care about hit singles or having one again."
No one wants to hear that tomfoolery. Give me a break, aye.
Case in point:

You asked if we would trade the album success for single success.
The answer is no. Changing the subject isn't going to make the question any less dumb.
Dark Side Of The Moon had no top 10 hits. No intelligent person would trade that album success for a top 10 hit.
What Beyonce has already done is far better for her legacy than a top 10 hit. A top 10 hit would be nice, but it is completely unnecessary at this point. She's already made history. Period. Trading that for a top 10 hit would be stupid.

Just because you feel that way doesn't mean Jax does too...
I would MUCH rather have an album like BEYONCE without a top 10, just because I think she deserves a top 10 doesn't mean I think it's more important than her whole body of work.

This thread is going nowhere..
Some people are here for singles and some for albums, let it be that.

Beneath her? No. But considering she has 14 of them as a solo artist, plus another 10 with DC.... it's not really her #1 priority right now. She was very clear about that.

How about no.
Beyonce is not young girl. She's a woman. She makes albums.
