20.We are nor cracking the top 20 songs of 2013! Coming at #20 is Janelle Monae. This is the first time she appears solo on my year end countdown. Last year, she was #1 as a feature artist for fun's "We Are Young."When it has came down to what Janelle Monae' has shown in her songs, they are definitely very good. She not only has made good songs so far, but delivers very true to her sound and the influences that have made her a good singer. "Dance Apocalyptic", is definitely a good dance song. The biggest Grammy snub goes to her.
19. Rihanna holds the record for appearing consistently on my year end countdown the most since Best of 2006 ; being at the # 1 spot in 2007 for "Umbrella". However, this year she only one appearance. "Stay" was very different for her. The song features Mikky Ekko. This song is good and it has depth.
18. Her lead singles are always the best. What a great song for encouragement and I love the video too.
17. If this song is any indication of what the rest of your new cd is going to sound like, then it is sure to be a winner. Miguel, a great artist in his own right that every one needs to know. I think their voices worked well together. I respect that you could hear both of them sing. The power house that she is she could chosen to over sing him. Love this song
16. This has got to be OneRepublic's biggest music era. I've often been impressed with OneRepublic, upon first hearing "Apologize" and onward through 'All the Right Moves' and 'Secrets'. My appreciation for them continues to grow, and grow. This song sounds beautiful.

Bonus Song # 9 The bonus song for this update is "Work Bitch" from Britney Spears. I might be the minority here but I don't think this was her strongest lead singles, but it wasn't the worse songs of the year. The song has an insane beat and I do feel like she came up with another popular catch phrase which is "you better work bitch" just like with "It's Britney, bitch". I do like "Perfume" a lot better.
