Yeah, it's true. Girlfriend debuted at number one without being officially released in Sweden, official release date until April, that explains why it's climbing now.

I just listened to the samples of all the songs on the cd on iTunes...I'm not an Avril fan but I have to admit, this is a good cd. Almost every track has hit potential. I really like "I Can Do Better", "Runaway", and "Hot"....I'd recommend the album for sure....don't just buy a few songs here and there--get the whole album and support Avril, she really did well with this. I think "The Best Damn Thing" will be very succesful but I doubt it will sell as much as her previous albums just because cd sales have dropped A LOT since they were released---most people just download individual songs these days. BUY THE ALBUM PEOPLE!!! She worked hard on it and there are very few fillers. This album will debut at #1, I'm 90% certain.

Ummm, this band isn't exactly mainstream as in Top 40/CHR/Pop, but nine inch nails--their last album did sell 274,164 copies in May 2005 to debut at #1, and they put out a highly-anticipated album today as well. Not saying it's going to be #1, but keep in mind that they have tons of fans too--some of which bought more than 2-3 copies. I'm buying my copy over the weekend.
