"The music video for "Gentleman" reached 18.9 million views on YouTube on the day of its release; which broke the previous single-day viewership record for music videos set by Justin Bieber's "Beauty and a Beat" at 10.6 million views. On April 22, Kevin Allocca of YouTube reported that the video set the record for the most views ever in a single day with the over 38 million "Gentleman" achieved on April 14, which beat the previous single-day record of 31 million views set by "KONY 2012"
PSY got that 38.2 million views in one day 2 days after its premiere, so if Miley tops 18.9 million she has the record.
