Katy did Roar in March, Katy and Dr. Luke have both said that.

Brave was released in April.

Therefore, even though Brave was recorded before Roar, Roar was not a copy of Brave because they had not heard Brave when they made Roar.

Please don't try to start up drama about that, move along and just be happy that, thanks to Katy, Sara is seeing much more success than she otherwise would have.

I don't care if Katy haven't heard Brave but you KatyCats have been repeating the same statements over and over again that Roar was recorded before Brave which is obviously false. And I just want to have a decent receipt to make it all stop.

I don't know who's saying she recorded it prior when we all know that's not true, Katy finish Roar prior to Brave's release and never heard it till after Roar was completed, but Brave was finished before Roar.

That doesn't prove that Roar was recorded before Brave, but it would make no sense to me that Dr Luke and Katy would want to replicate a song that had very little success/exposure (seeing as "they're always following trends" or "looking for radio candy/hits").

I honestly think the comparisons are really lazy and based primarily on both songs having a similar message. Katy may have given Sara a boost in publicity due to the comparisons but Sara's moving records because "Brave" is a total bop

Are you'll really believing Dr. Luke's words when he said ROAR was recorded & written before Brave came out? I love Katy and I personally think both song are great. They do have some similarities (the structure of the song) and to say this is just a coincidence especially when we're talking about the music biz is just being delusional.
