Miguel hasn't even out sold Usher or Chris album so i don't know why we are comparing sales.
You guys continue talking about Miguel and Chris' sales and bashing them for it, but you're purposely ignoring CO's sales, which aren't that good either his sales are horrible actually considering the controversy and Grammy promotion he got
!!!
Like them arguing album sales like they're a million or two apart.
Trey is horrible and I wish I could go back in time and murder the person that convinced him to pick up a mic and Chris hasn't made a half decent album since he kicked Rihanna's jaw in. Frank has made it clear that he doesn't like to be labeled R&B (although he has no problem accepting an R&B Grammy ). Miguel is the closest thing we have to this title.
I don't know why y'all keep bringing up how far ahead Frank is when his album was released a few months before Miguel's.
Let's compare CURRENT sales data since this is a fresh NEW YEAR.
Quote:
Year to date album sales (from January 2013-present)
52 RCA MIGUEL KALEIDOSCOPE DREAM 81,402
53 R-RR THE WEEKND TRILOGY 80,923
56 DEF OCEAN*FRANK CHANNEL ORANGE 77,711
Quote:
Billboard 200 March 6-13 (most recent)
70 MIGUEL KALEIDOSCOPE DREAM 8,122
92 OCEAN*FRANK CHANNEL ORANGE 5,800
They're in the same boat in 2013. Bragging about Frank's sales is pointless now.
Now can we get back to the main question?
To an extent it does. Just because you don't like Frank's music don't mean the rest of the world doesn't either.
Where did I say no one else liked it? Clearly others do if they're buying his album. I'm not stupid.
But the "more sales = the more your music is appealing" argument doesn't work. Should I even bother listing what all could go wrong if that was actually true?
