This song is seriously one of the best P!nk songs I've ever heard. I fell in love the second I heard it, and I don't know what about it does it, but something within it touches my heart. I know it sounds corny and ******, but the song itself is really magical and I hope you're all surprised that it went out this early because it definitely didn't deserve this fate.
#24Good Girl Gone Bad - Rihanna Good Girl Gone Bad [Reloaded]
Basic ass RnB song, but it's good enough of a basic ass RNB song for it to work it's way up to the high 20's. Full of cliché lines like "Chicks callin in the house", "I packed my bag and left with your best friend", "You better learn how to treat us right." The lyrics in and of themselves sound like something ripped out of an inner-city middle school girls diary, but for Rihanna's standards, that passes as good.
This sounds like a song that was played for Aaliyah and she pushed the person who played it for her out of the window. My main problem with this song is that it doesn't sound like P!nk - point blank. It sounds like a song from that one girl that made it big in the RnB scene but we can't really put our fingers on it but assume its her anyways. Nice try P!nk, but you can't pull off basic ass RnB like Rihanna can.
I'm actually pretty sad about this. While it's a pretty generic, run of the mill Bruno Mars ballad, it's production is really amazing. My only peeve about the song is the lackluster chorus and buildup. She sounds lazy and tired, but then again, she's not even singing a song she wrote, so I'll cut her a break. The 'life of the party' bridge is amazing, however, and it really showcases her ability to sing-shout, something she doesn't do much on her albums.
I'm surprised at this. This is probably one of my favorite Katy songs ever released. Lyrically, it's a great song, dealing appropriately with topics of relationships and subtle hints of drug use, which personally is what gives the song the edge for me. It's probably one of her more experimental songs as well, dabbling in what "Warrior" wanted to be in terms of production - edgy, strong, powerful.
