One of the most disappointing comebacks of the year. But to be honest I wasn't even checking for them anymore. The music video is kinda weird and they changed their original sound way too much to fit with the dance era. Thank God it was just a buzz single.
Gym Class Heroes feat. Neon Hitch "Get Yourself Back Home"
If it wasn't for the outrageous amount of autotune in this song I'm sure I would've loved it. It's catchy and it has a great message despite the title. I was hoping Neon would start a career on her own but instead she released sl*tty songs like every other generic girl out there.
Grouplove "Tongue Tied"
Grouplove didn't smash in my countdown like their indie/folk counterparts but I still think this song has its charm. Maybe it needs a bit more of strenght in the chorus to make it catchier. The lead singer looks so creepy.
Gabrielle Aplin "The Power Of Love"
I love how despite the fact that we're in the middle of the dance era, the UK still appreciates local talent. Specially when it comes in the form of amazing power ballads like this one. It might not be an original song but like most of the british covers it comes in great quality.
Colbie Caillat "Christmas In The Sand"
I couldn't care less about Christmas as a holiday. So the only reason this song is here is because it's good enough to make the cut. In this song Colbie sounds as fresh and as sweet as usual. The music video is hilarious aswell.
Sweedish House Mafia feat. John Martin "Don't You Worry Child"
I didn't think a song like this could have beautiful lyrics. It started as a guilty pleasure but now I can proudly say that I like this song. I wish I could say the same for the rest of electronic music artists who keep infecting the radio with nonsense crap.
Emeli Sandé "Next To Me"
She reminds me of a young Mary J Blige. Definitely one of the most talented new artists in the UK. I kept hoping this song would smash in the US but that's asking too much. I want to listen to her album in full in the near future.
Eric Church "Springsteen"
The country chief makes his only appearance in this countdown. Definitely one of the best country songs of the year. Eric has something that makes him different from the rest of the solo male country singers. I love the nostalgic lyrics of this song.
Lady Antebellum "A Holly Jolly Christmas"
This is a very cheerful song. It was about time Lady Antebellum would stop their streak of heartbreaking mellow singles to make room for a more uplifting catchy song like this one. Again, it's here because I like it, not because it's a holiday-themed song.
Whitney Houston & Jordin Sparks "Celebrate"
This year the legendary R&B diva Whitney Houston passed away. She has always been one of my favorite artists and I was devastated when I heard the news. This song is indeed the very last original song she recorded and I'm glad that it was released in her memory. Rest in peace Whitney.
Thanks for your comments.

Surprised to see Don't You Worry Child here I liked that song a lot more than I thought I would. I had hoped Next to Me and Springsteen would be higher
