Oh here we go talking about SINGLES again. One form of success as Rico stated earlier. And I'm not referring to certain eras but in general Beyoncé has topped more genre related charts. If the shoe was on the other foot Britney stans wouldn't always try to discredit everything that isn't The Hot 100.

Well:
Album US and worldwide: underperformance for both;
Genre single charts US: hit for both;
General single charts US: hit for FF, flop for 4;
Worldwide single chart: hit for FF, flop for 4.
In what world is that the "same"?

I don't remember any stan saying they weren't hits.
I remember people saying they weren't Katy Perry or Rihanna sized SMASHES with the exception of TTWE which DID do really well and had great longevity in most places. HIAM, TTWE and IWG were all hits.

But who cares if the singles underperformed/flopped in the UK anyway?
It's so annoying how people act like the UK is the only place outside the US.
And HIAM & IWG sold just fine considering the airplay and promotion they had, while TTWE sold GREAT. Let's not act like it had Katy Perry sized airplay or promotion, it had only 98 Million airplay yet has sold over 2.7 Million in the US. How is that not great for an artist that started her career before the digital era in 1998?
And if TTWE isn't THAT successful would you say songs like Blow Me is? Because TTWE performed better than that globally. Just saying...........

LOL I mentioned the UK because it's probably the biggest market after the US. And why do you have to bring Pink into this? Did I mention her at all? But, if you wanna compare, Blow Me reached the top 5 in the US, UK, Canada, top 10 in Germany, #1 in Australia and reached #1 on Billboard Radio songs, which Britney has failed to do this far in her career, and HIAM, TTWE and IWG never reached top ten in all of US, UK, Canada, Australia and Germany

My point was Hot 100, Digital and Worldwide - aka GENERAL chart, which means compiled by every single genre one - are much, MUCH more important and competitive than the genre charts, and if you're smart enough to read, you will notice that.

Did you even read my post?
I said for Urban artists, the R&B chart is more important than the Hot 100. Most Urban artists release singles geared for R&B markets (such as Best Thing I Never Had and Love on Top), so they're not expected to cross over to Pop.

Y'all love to lump their sales together as if they were the same. You need to look at the fact that 4 is nearing the 3 mil mark with an R&B album—a dead genre in 2011/2012 whereas FF sold over a million less with a Dance-Pop record in 2011/2012 with the help of people with Dr. Luke, Will I Am, Ke$ha etc even with several "hits" and a tour that grossed less than the amount of dates she had.
Britney singles definitely charted/peaked better than the ones from 4 and sold more, but neither of their single sales are astonishing and look terrible next to their peers. Also, even with Britney's peaking higher Beyoncé singles and album are currently doing better WORLDWIDE on Kworb's chart than the FF and Britney's singles.

The UK isn't the biggest market after the US, Japan is - Where HIAM did well. I brought up you mentioning the UK because 90% of members on here bring it up when they went to determine how global something is and it gets annoying after a while.
And I'm actually one of the few people on here who love Blow Me (check my posts) so I wasn't bashing her or the song in the slightest. I honestly just wanted to see your opinion on whether or not you think Blow Me was THAT successful if TTWE wasn't. Blow Me will most likely not outsell TTWE with 60 Million+ more airplay and performed worse in most places than TTWE did. Would you say Blow Me isn't selling that well because it's not pulling Katy Perry sized single sales?
No. Another example would be Rihanna's rude boy and What's My Name that have sold less than TTWE despite once again having far more airplay. It just gets annoying when people try to make it seem like Britney should be scoring 4x Platinum singles like other current artists, she's past her prime and TTWE sold just fine considering everything.

I think Blow Me HAS been a hit, but it hasn't been a HUGE hit. I'm not even saying this cos I'm a Pink stan but Blow Me HAS performed better than HIAM. The song has had WAAAAAAY more longevity and in my opinion, longevity determines the true success of a song. And people have got to stop acting that because Britney is older now she can't sell singles anymore. If you wanna compare Pink and Britney, Pink has sold more with individual singles than Britney has recently. "So What" and "Raise Your Glass" have sold more than Britney's recent #1 singles, and Pink is older than Brit. And Britney's singles have been JUST AS generic.

LMAO, where is the Pop chart mentioned in my original post? And LMAO again, it doesn't matter what "R&B artists think", the Hot 100 is the bigger and most relevant chart in the US, for Christ's sake, stop embarrassing yourself.

Germany and maybe even France are bigger than the UK nowadays as well.

Hit, besides album sales it carried out 3 huge hits for her, she broke her own personal records for radio play, etc.
Her tour grossed really well. And the material itself was amazing.
