Continuing my latest re-surgence of Will Young has continued his hold of the top spot, but this week by a new song, “You and I”. The move comes as it was the #2 song last week, and for me its one of those songs I can play over and over, which is what happened evidently. As for large increase, we see Will Young re-enter the top 5 with his previous #1 song “Your Game”, Alexandra Burke, after a good 2 months of being below the top 10, re-enters the top 5, it’s a song that has yet to get old for me shockingly. There is also a debut in the top 10, Get Lucky by Daft Punk. I missed its debut last week when it should have debuted, but the power of last week and this week’s airplay increases it to the top 10.
The chart itself still does carry many Will Young songs, but has been shifting back into what seems like the more non-Will Young songs are breaking though the Will songs. For example, for the past 2 weeks, if not for the Will Young songs, Olly Murs might have had 2 weeks at #1 (he has a concert I’m going to in about a week, so this has likely something to do with this song’s success as well), yet surges to a new peak of #2. Pitbull re-rises with his A-ha rendition, as well as the rise of 1994 by Jason Aldean, who dropped hugely following 3 weeks at #1. Likely more songs will re-enter the top 10, but slowly this can only occur when new new music interests me to start climbing, which hasn’t been happening.

So this past week, as I've been complaining about, I was sick on having a major allergic reaction to dust mites. So even listening to music was something I didn't want to do (which is my favorite thing to do). So this week I sort of extended my tracking week/update to today. Also my finals ended Thursday so I took some time to listen to some music. BTW there was a point I almost wanted to opt out of doing any update because of my few days I didn't listen to music
As for this week, Come & Get It by Selena Gomez is now her debut song if you will, but her 2nd #1 with or without her band. She prevoiusly topped my chart alongside the Scene with 2 different mixes of the song "Love You Like A Love Song" in July 2011 and February 2012. This song has been building a huge lead over the other songs, and barely got to #1 last week, but was short by a few plays.
As for Alexandra Burke being #2 again toofunny: idk I have this CD that I've been playing since October 2012 and has yet to leave my CD player in my car (which holds 6 CD's). I have this on repeat a lot, it hasn't really gotten old either, should I retire the song? idk its just too catchy still. It will never end.
Also for the remaining re-entires/Debut, normally I deviate from my top 40 a lot and go though old songs all of the time, but this week, we had some songs that needed to be reflected this week since it was a down week and all.
