she was talking about similar concepts during the tour, whether she announced all these ideas as songs discredits nothing. Gaga began preaching the self-esteem words way before Katy decided to put it all in a song.

As I already posted, her DADT thing was way after Firework. There is no way you can be so delusional to think an artist will write a song solely based on what another artist said would be a concept at her tour.

2.) She helped changed the sound of what's played on the radio (dance music)

3.) She has influenced the way other artists dress and perform and has risen the standards.

4.) The insane amount of records sold across the world in such a short span of time.

5.) The countless praise in reviews and articles of other artists, and her name is always brought up being compared to them.

Dance music was less relevant than R&B is now, Gaga's rise of dance-pop would be like a random coming out now and making trance music the most dominant form of music? Sure I mean trance music is still made, its popular underground, that was just like dance. But Gaga made dance-pop THE it genre to make from 2008 to the present... Her outfits? The fact that she didn't use her body and try to sell the whole sex-britney-spears-orgy image that every other girl was doing, and instead made amazing music without resorting to that, was unlike anything before her for quite a long time

I am not against what she preaches at all.
