It was all different. People like Zuko and Toph were trained at their arts for years. Toph alone has a different fighting style than anyone else on the show making her incomparable. You can't really compare anyone to Azula because she did whatever it took to fully master her art. She was a perfectionist. Tenzin has barely been shown bending, so the difference between his bending and Aang's is also incomparable seeing as the full extent of Tenzin's bending has not been shown thus far. Katara
is everything Korra knows about waterbending. Nuff said.
On the other hand. The "new" team is not
nearly comparable to the original yet. Do you remember how the Gaang started out? With the exception of Aang, they could barely hurt a fly. Korra, Mako and Bolin are all practicing
modern styles of fighting. So their styles (for now at least) will differ from the original Gaang
entirely.
