Which is impressive, but the point I was making was that the number of hits she has had on the charts isn't especially impressive when you look at where those songs peaked. She has a lot of entries that peaked in the 50's through 80's from people downloading individual songs around the time her albums come out.
And to Robyn, good point, but also keep in mind each album has had 5 singles released, and Speak Now looks like it's going to have 6 (or more). If Katy released every song that had the potential to sell a million copies from Teenage Dream, and her label gave them marginal promo, she would have 8 or 9 singles. Additionally, Taylor has had two more years and an additional album's worth of sales over my fave and Gaga
Don't get me wrong, I like Taylor. And frankly, I think the arguments most of the people in this thread have made are beyond stupid, but I don't think she is the biggest popstar in the USA
