Thanks for listening, I just wanted to show you that she can do emotion, most of her songs don't really require it though. Dear John is also full of emotion. Sometimes certain artists just don't click with some people. That's cool, at least you are open minded.

Taylor recently said at one of her shows "I think... we need music the most when we're feeling things really intensely." She writes songs to capture emotion; that's her intention, and she's quite successful at it.

That post had nothing to do with Taylor Swift. As I mentioned before, I do think she has some songwriting talent.

It's nice to see someone who really deserves it succeed, I want Taylor to succeed, and how much she loves her band is adorable.

TONS of reasons:

1) She is one of the worst actresses I've ever seen. Seeing her in Valentines Day was truly, truly revolting. Her acting was SO bad it made me stop the whole movie.

4) 90% of her songs are about fairytails. The woman is over 20. She shouldnt still be singing about fairytails and being mad at boys anymore. She needs to grow up.
5) She stays more popular and sells more than more deserving artists like Carrie Underwood, who outperforms her at every show and songs are more mature and STICTLY country.
6) She calls herself a "country" artist, but remixes them and sends them to Pop radio.

Those are the reasons I hate Taylor Swift. She's the only artist I genuinely CANNOT stand.

Her episode of SNL where she hosted disagrees with you, the show got positive reviews and was praised as the highlight of the season and brought in big ratings.

I love pop. I don't think you should be on atrl if you don't. lol. I was just saying that it's more acceptable for pop artists to get away with things that country artists would be attacked for. Did you read my reply to Bea's comment? D:

I can pretty much nail this one on the head, people have various reasons but the main ones would be.

a) she has sold way more than most of their faves have since the year 2000
b) she writes her own music and it actually sells
c) she has dated people they want to nail
d) she won a grammy for ATOY which most of their faves haven't and probably never will (bar 2 or 3) for an album she not only wrote and co-wrote every song on but co-produced as well.
e) she actually cares a lot about her fans which other than Gaga and a few other to a milder extent, most celebs only say they care and don't back it up, Taytay doesn't charge for meet and greets all the time because her fans tend to go to her shows with their allowance, she has the T-Party room, a true Princess.
f) she does it all singing about princesses, dancing in the rain and fairytales

They can all stay mad tbh. Queen Taylor doesn't give a ****

3. She is a genuine performer. Its all about the connection with the crowd. If you see her in concert that is the first thing that you notice. Her connection with her audience is truly comparable to Beatle-mania.
4. Uninformed opinion. You just basically said you have not heard "Speak Now" .
5. Carrie is great, but she is not better than Taylor. They both have their strong points. I use Taylor, because for me songwriting>vocals.
6. That is really funny to me that country sees that as some kind of betraying. I mean if Kanye wanted to do jazz, would rap/hiphop scene say, nah, we have had enough of your genre hopping? Ridiculous.

I don't like Taylor much because I don't think she can sing live (or at all really) and she certainly can't dance... But I understand her appeal. She's a good songwriter, kind of like the anti-Adele without the pipes.

She was cute on "SNL." But acting and sketch comedy are not the same thing. I don't think we'll ever see Ms. Swift's name on an Oscar ballot.
