Seriously, think before you make a post.

That's not what the **** I'm saying.
What I meant was, I see this a lot on Twitter, but not so much on ATRL, that some Monsters do seem to think that unless it's Gaga/Monster-related, it's irrelevant. Suicides do happen, and Jamey isn't the first person on earth to take his life. Yeah, great person, I know, and it is tear-worthy because of it all, but, this may just sound so damn mean or whatever, but he's not really much more special than anyone else who committed suicide because of bullying, and many of the Monsters I was referring to don't seem to get that.

It's funny how the anti-bullying people are the ones calling names and being extra catty. Oh well though, if it makes a bitch feel smart to call me stupid then whatever helps him sleep at night.

I don't really agree. People should have the option and ability to be racist and homophobic, but when it starts to hurt other people THEN it should be a problem.

Seriously, with Jameson throwing so many ****ing insults, I should call 911 on his ass for cyber-bullying

Politically correct? Honey, you're going to need to start researching my posts or some **** if you think I am politically correct or anything along those lines.
But you're sounding very stupid and insensitive.

She needs to focus on bigger things instead of being obsessed with bullying. It will never end.
|
A HUGE-ass lie. Bullying is a big thing and there is absolutely nothing wrong with "being obsessed" with it. No, it will never end, but it can definitely be reduced! I don't see any other pop bitches using their celebrity status to help reduce bullying. Most of them make a song about it, and do nothing else. It's a huge issue and it's beautiful that Gaga gives enough of a **** to try and help with it.

I hope that a positive solution comes out of this, but either way, I admire her for attempting to make a change, while some other people sit back and act like they want to make a change...when in reality, they don't give a ****. Her heart is in a good place, and I think she really cares, otherwise she wouldn't bother trying to meet with the president.

So if someone is so thick that it takes a tweet by mother monster for him to realize that bullying and suicides following from it are an issue worth thinking about, is that not still a good thing?

Because "bullying" is a blurry term.
Shouting fire in a threatre is clear-cut.
Killing is clear-cut.
Stealing is clear-cut.
Bullying is not.

Everyone gets that. They're just talking about this one a lot because it's publicized and more easily relatable. That's how the world works, and everyone gets it. People aren't tweeting about other suicides not because they think they're unimportant, but because they haven't heard about them.

Not really. But I'm sorry that I'm supposed to take "there's nothing she can do" as "bullying can't be eliminated".

Harassing somebody for the duration of their middle school career is pretty ****ing clear-cut.

That's madness. If something is WRONG, it should be ALL WRONG. The hateful feelings inside each one are what makes this so hard to fight against.

You make a statement that hurts someone, or offends them (which can be categorized as bullying) --> not a crime
You punch someone because you don't like them (also can be categorized as bullying) --> crime.
It's that simple. But we can't stop people from being mean to eachother, that's a pointless battle to fight

Harassment is not just physical in nature, and verbal harassment is just as serious a problem.
Obviously, the obstacles of free speech make controlling verbal abuse difficult, but the truth is that there doesn't need to be a law per se, rather schools need to set their own (common sense) moral code and have the students abide by it.
For example, it may not be illegal to tell a person they're ugly and deserve to die a horrible death, but it certainly shouldn't be tolerated in an educational environment anymore than it is in a workplace setting. An employee who verbally harasses his coworkers will be fired by the company, and a student who does the same to his peers should be reprimanded in a similar fashion by the school, rather then them turning a blind eye.

Um whatever gerl. There are bigger things to worry about, and being reduced =/= ending. And other pop bitches aren't using their celebrity status to focus on bullying. They are focusing on feeding the homeless in other countries and donating time/money to make a better life for the less fortunate.
Different strokes for different folks I guess. But most of y'all are nothing but a bunch of cyber bullies anyway so y'all just look like a bunch of hypocrites making a huge deal out of this. Y'all need to sit.

Racism and homophobia aren't clear-cut too. But, there are laws in Canada against racism and homophobia. You cannot treat someone in a different manner only because of his color or sexual orientation. Even if you don't punch him in the face because he's black, but you only fire him of his job, it can be a crime.
Same thing could apply to bullying, even if it's blury. It would definitely help.
PS : Long time no see

Actually, sort of.
I find it almost sad, but this still isn't exactly what I meant. I'm not sure how to word it properly.

Hmmm, fair enough. I suppose that a law would have to be very clear.
But that said, no law is exactly or 100% "clear-cut" as you said. A (well-defined) bullying law would not be much different.
