wow. I'm very surprised actually. Thanks to GaGa, Nicole became sort of a mini-celebrity in the Little Monster world. I thought she enjoyed every minute of it and would continue her stanning activity even after (and if) she'd lose all interest in GaGa. Most of the people would I think.
But kudos to her for this.

NONE OF THIS IS NEW INFORMATION. GaGa has been nothing but open about her direction with BTW.

Ya'll do know artists experiment things and eventually go back to what they do best especially when they disappoint in terms of criticism and/or sales.

You loose fans. You gain fans. That's how its supposed to be! It's about personal preference. The music. The attitude. The style. Whatever. There are certain people out there who are riding the same wave for years... and it obviously works for them and their fans. But I can't understand how anyone would bitch about someone who moves on. Yes, Gaga can be too preachy. And when I saw her crying in front of the mirror and talking like a prophet (HBO Special) I just wanted to beat her up with one of her wigs. But that has nothing to do with her music. She grew up. She's not 19 anymore. We've all been there or will be. We all went through different phases (music, style, whatever). So did she. She's just another 25 year old chick. And the journey from The Fame to Born this Way... I'm amazed and very happy that someone delivered such an amazing record. I needed that.

To be honest, as a Gaga stan. I have to agree with this part:
Quote:
the album isn't really pop. It acts like it's above pop. It's not catchy, or fun, or have huge killer hooks that make the whole world want to just dance. This is a problem for me because the first thing Gaga epicly declared when she burst onto the music scene was "POP MUSIC WILL NEVER BE LOW BROW." Did "never" mean less than 3 years? What happened to that girl? What happened to her sense of fun? Why, after such a bold declaration, is she trying to move away from pop instead of raising the bar within the pop genre? I won't even get into her now-off putting gimmicks.

I mean, however i try to keep listening, there are always a handful of tracks i skip. Like Americano, Heavy Metal Lover. I think she is getting to obsessed with "being yourself" and "being who you are" because every song is related to those. Id love if she became more varied, i mean i love a few of the intensely dark tracks on the album, and to me its still the best album so far. but Honestly i prefer The Fame. I just hope she comes back with stronger hooks, like Nicole said. That said, i don't hate the album, and will stan 100% for her. I just hope she stops going to deep in to this direction.

Loving the honesty!
I agree with what she said.
It might sound stupid, but it's like she's trying too hard. The Fame and FM were full of really catchy, mostly fun songs. None of the songs on BTW are as catchy as any of the singles from Fame or FM, and a lot of the production in BTW sounds the same...mostly guitary synths. The lyrics are generally pretentious, and it's like she trying so hard to be 'metaphorical' and 'artsy', but it just comes off as being cheesy and forced.

It is great when fans can express their opinions without being overly blind.
With that being said, I could not disagree even more with Nicole's opinion. Born This Way suits my musical taste in a way that I never thought it would. It has everything I yearn from in music right now.
I am here for evolution. I am completely comfortable with change. Gaga's changing at a similar pace that I am with my life, and I would be very disappointed if she recreated the same theme/veins of inspiration (a whole album of 'Just Dance') for her next up. Let us be honest, if Gaga were to do that then she would get accused of not being creative. Going back to 'the old Gaga' is literally just that. Gaga is not going backwards in time, and neither am I with life. If I want to hear this alleged "old Gaga," then I'll put on The Fame.
This "new Gaga" is exactly who I fell for since 2008. Would you expect Gaga to wear her meatdress to this year's VMA's? Or the year after? No. Likewise, I do not expect Gaga to release 'The Fame' this year, or the year after.

Nicole is right. I never heard the album yet but the only song that was offiially released was judas. The rest o the music doesn't seem like her at all.

You can't talk until you heard it then. The singles aren't the best representations of the album.

Don't you even try to go all Stan on my ass. I've heard the songs from farmville, the three singles and hair. That equals 6 songs which is almost half the album. I am allowed to voice my opinion if I wish and if you have a problem with neg words about gaga then tuff.
I never said the album sucked, I said from what I heard, it isn't gaga. I know artists are supposed to change and grow, but this is a total 180.

Calm the **** down. I'm saying you shouldn't say anything about the album until you heard it because the singles don't do it justice.

I respect her opinion and agree in parts. I miss The Fame GaGa. At the same time I love the new GaGa. I mean honestly, it's when I moved from primary school to secondary school... I missed my old friends but loved the new ones I made just as much. I think if Nicole wasn't prepared or willing to evolve with GaGa, making this decision was the best decision to make.

She isn't going to go back to the Fame Gaga because she made that pop album to get famous and have a platform, so she could make the music she wanted (aka BTW). Why are we acting like The Fame was such an amazing album? The singles were great, everything else (besides a couple) were ****. (Money Honey, Eh Eh, etc) The Fame MONSTER was the best pop album I have ever heard (unless you're including that, but they are completely different).
TFM>BTW>TF.
I agree with everything Nicole said--everything--but I love the new music and can be flexible to Gaga's new sounds, thus I am not revoking my stan card. If the music was actually bad it would be a different story. She can be country and as long as it's good I support her. Trust me, the next album won't be as preachy or power ballad-heavy, or 80s. It will be back to TFM form, of this I'm sure.
