I love Gaga and this era has been really growing on me, but this video did absolutely NOTHING for me...
It didn't give me a seizure like PI did, but in a lot of other ways it was even worse...
Like there was no atmosphere, everything seemed forced and staged...
Idk, I'm not into it...
It's clear at this point that she wants that middle america demographic with the easy to understand concept. It's actually the smart thing to do. She has ALL the SL hedi costumes on a rack to side in the backstage scene in remembrance of the gays. Get those coins MAWMA!
We just gotta wait. It's a sensitive time in the world and she's doing the superbowl. A drastic, heavy video would have harmed than doing any good.
On another note, any of this is no excuse to compromise on acting, direction and cinematography. Her calling wasn't to make this... stuff.
Let me just say the Little Monsters are getting exactly what they deserve for praising this new "authentic" Gaga. This is not authentic, it's basic and BORING. It's so sad to see her decline like this. I loved Gaga when she was innovating pop music with her amazing videos and looks. That was truly unique and authentic.
The video has potential, but it misses a clear storyline. If the scenes with the pink outfit were replaced with 'flashbacks' of a past relationship, then it would have been a decent video

She's gonna play up the nonsense cowboy country act she's been trying to push with this era but none want or is even open to being receptive. She needs to quit while she can and rush release ARTPOP vol. II ASAP.
