VIDEO: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oM7NQQ0Lfu4
MUSIC: http://www.carrieunderwoodofficial.com/ I don't really need to give the other links since you all know who Carrie is by now.
The 3rd of 3 from Carrie Underwood today and it's a career day for her. Carrie Underwood's 3rd album Play On was started with the song Cowboy Casanova. First she broke her career high showing of top 15 from Before He Cheats in 2007 as Carrie was red-hot from the start. Cowboy Casanova danced its way into the record books becoming the most successful country song to ever chart on my countdown by spending all 52 weeks of the year on the list, lots of airplay to back it up, great consistency, tons of fan support, great fanbase, interesting video, this song boasts a tremendous all-around factor. Carrie will end up with the Silver Medalist honors and taking home the #2 Song Of The Year and as I said, a career-best showing on the endchart. She came this close to the Song Of The Year....chances are she may never be this close again. We'll see what happens.
SHIFT:She was #3, but checks in at #2 after the adjustments.
HIGHER:Best Country song of 2010 and her career-best showing on the Endchart. Wonderful stats. Topped daily airplay 5 times and hit #1 on weekly airplay once.
LOWER:Not enough times at #1 hurt her chances of taking #1 when on a grand scale.
REASON FOR BEING #1:If it weren't for the magically incredible ride KSM had, Carrie would be the winner.
Me:To think Carrie's career started in 2005 with Idol. Here's a flashback performance she gave.
Me:You probably know who the #1 Song Of The Year is by now. If you don't, we'll reveal it to you in a while. Also coming up we will have the final performance of the 2010 show. STAY TUNED
PERFORMANCE:Lillix "Nowhere To Run" / 78Violet "Potential Breakup Song" / No Secrets (reunion) "Kids In America" / Paramore "The Only Exception" medley
Me:Let me first say, thanks to everybody for making 2010 possible and here's to hoping a happy 2011 ahead We will be back this time next year to do it all over again. To the producers, the fans, the posters, the singers, the actors, the personnel, everybody in general. You made this year happen and we couldn't have done it without you.
ALRIGHT, THE MOMENT YOU HAVE WAITED FOR! THE #1 SONG OF 2010 AND UNDISPUTED CHOICE IS.

KSM!
1. KSM - Read Between The Lines (Chart:#2, Airplay:#2, Fans:#2, Votes:614,567)

This girl group consisting of Sophia Melon, Shae Padilla, Katie Cecil, Kate Cabebe and Shelby Spallione torched the charts with power, intensity, skill, quickness, and any other adjective you can use. KSM's massive chart hit Read Between The Lines lit up the top of the countdown for 8 weeks (more than anyone in 2010), spent 13 days on top of the daily airplay chart, spent all 52 weeks on the weekly countdown, this song was unstoppable. You can say that this girl group definitely earned their keep becoming the first girl group to top since 2000 when Dream's He Loves U Not was the top dog. Not to mention this is also one of the youngest artists in quite some time to top the countdown. The last time a relatively young singer topped was Ashanti back in 2002-2003 and maybe Dream included. This video and song from KSM was unstoppable when it mattered the most. No doubt about it, the fans have spoken that KSM's hit Read Between The Lines is the undisputed Gold Medalist winner and #1 Song Of The Year. Congrats to KSM for their win and we'll have their acceptance speech later.
SHIFT:They were slated for #2, but they take the #1 spot.
HIGHER:Can you go higher than #1? LOL. BEST ALL-AROUND SONG OF THE YEAR! Spent 8 weeks at #1 (most among all songs)
LOWER:NONE
REASON IT'S #1:Because it is. Best chart success, great airplay, amazing consistency. The last time a pop/rock band had this much staying power, you go back to Lillix in 2003 with It's About Time.
HERE'S ANOTHER VIDEO FROM KSM
Me:KSM's acceptance speech is coming up after this break. Then we'll put a bow on 2010. Stay tuned.

KSM is very good. I can't wait to see what Rixy Fisk (the new band started by Shelby and Shae...but Shelby has since left to pursue a solo career) has to offer.
And I know Sophia had some solo music while attending College.
Not sure what's up with Katie and Kate these days, i still love these girls greatly.
OK everyone, it's time to close up the 2010 Year-End Countdown show. I want to thank everybody for making it possible. My thanks to KSM, Carrie Underwood, Ashley Tisdale, Lights, Paramore, Christina Perri, Natasha Bedingfield, Britney Haynes, Bobby Flay, the girls from Redemption Song, all the Survivor, Big Brother, The Apprentice and Amazing Race contestants, and everybody else for making it happen. Also thanks to the fans, the posters for reading this countdown show that went a good 2 weeks. I hope you learned something when following this countdown, it's worth checking out any song you don't know. The beauty of this countdown is to open yourself up to songs you are not familiar with, and get out of your Top 40 bubble. There's more music out there besides the top 40 stuff.
With that, I'm Mike saying...see you in 2011.....and one more thing.
