It means your virus is less than a certain level in your blood pretty much making it ineffective at harming you and very unlikely to transmit to others. Being undetectable means you pretty much aren't a level where you will develop AIDS.

Not correct information. You are thinking are seroconversion where you can have the virus but it can't be seen.

I've been workng on an important project about HIV/AIDS and I got to meet a few people who lost sons/daughters back in the 80s/90s because of it, people take life for granted, it's really emotional seeing so many of you here taking this seriously, unfortunately that isn't the case in real life (in Spain HIV cases have increased for the past few years)

During early infection, a person is EXTREMELY infectious.

Undetectable is the stage a POZ person gets to after about 6 months if they diligently took their drugs. At this point their viral load is so low they are almost as noninfectious as a negative person.

Is there any reason to worry if you've always used a condom? In other words, is there a chance that the virus might still pass through it?

Yes they can if they stay on treatment and live a relatively healthy lifestyle.

Kali you should still get tested even if you use a condom. **** happens condom breaks. However, if you use latex and polyeutherene condoms you will be fine. Lambskin is a no no though.

The brave ones are Daddy and Jay. Not so much me. They jumped in to help out and open up about themselves which helped me out a lot. I'm really thankful because it helped me feel more comfortable to open up even more than I did.

Yes eating well and working out will help out in keeping people undetectable. And yea I am now. Took me awhile to get where I am not but I'm good now.

No but be careful not to break the condom. Always use a lubricant.

I should also bring up even if you are male gay and HIV+ and you thought you couldn't have your own kids, you can still have HIV - biological children. Your semen is what is infected not your sperm and they have this program where they wash the virus out of your semen so it can be used for insemination.

But yes if you are undetectable you need to take your meds to stay undetectable. But Truvada is also HIV treatment medicine so him showing you the bottle doesn't really prove anything. I suggest this one be asked to Daddy as he takes Truvada.


There are .05% of people with HIV who are naturally undetectable without meds but those are really rare to find. What that guy did though was wrong if he is undetectable while POZ.
