Firework will make a rebound every 4th of July and New Years. It will go on to be the Thriller of our generation.

That's subjective reasoning. Just because you haven't heard people talk about Born this Way doesn't mean it isn't talked about. I personally haven't heard people talk about Firework since it came out but I am not claiming it's forgotten.
And people have been talking about Born this Way since it came out. Did you forget the Express Yourself comparisons and all the recent Madonna shade for it? It's not positive press perhaps, but its not forgotten.
Lastly, you're basically saying that Firework is more of an anthem because it's a holiday song. It's only been under 2 years since it came out so it's too soon to tell, but benefit of the doubt, it'll get a boost every year. However, no one seems to sing 4th of July and New Years songs so it's not that relevant of a holiday song. Also, you perhaps forget that Born this Way is a gay anthem. And every year in cities all around the world, taking place during different weeks are Pride celebrations and Pride weeks, and I'm sure that this song is played at least once in every city let alone played at any gay-themed events, fundraisers, or other such things.
