I'm know but you're comparing TD with classic all-time seller albums showing TD has more weeks in and therefore to the ignorant of the real sales, it looks as if TD is superior.

However, claps for Katy's achievements this era, didn't like the album much but it takes talent to squeeze to the single drop an album commercially and have a lot of hits. Much more #1s.

It's the 2nd best selling female pop album this current decade, only behind ADELE. Only 3 albums have outsold it since its release (2 country albums + ADELE again)

but why would some people bother looking at some #1 singles when they're too busy selling 6 million bottle perfumes in 1 week, or being named the most famous celebrity of 2012 by Guinness without even releasing music, or selling out the biggest stadium in Africa though?

^ none of those things (with the possible exception of selling out the stadium) mean anything compared to dominating the music charts.
