Troye makes his second appearance. Better than Wild by a bit, but he's got two songs better than this.
129. Ellie Goulding - Love Me Like You Do
Honestly, I was slayed by this song the first time I heard it. But after awhile, I kind of got sick of it. The fact that's it from a glorified sex tape was the first thing that hurt it. The second part was that Ellie pretty much didn't have any artistry with this song. But with that said, the euphoric feel of the instrumental is really nice.
128. P!nk - Today's the Day
It's not every day a famous singer ends up recording the theme song to a popular talk show. This song pretty much serves that purpose. Nothing special, but it's cute and should hold P!nk fans over.
127. The Veronicas - Cruel
This single was a step up from If You Love Someone, but it still felt a bit basic. Regardless, it peaked at #8 on my countdown and retired after 20 weeks, something If You Love Someone never did.
126. 5 Seconds of Summer - Hey Everybody
Honestly, I ignored both this and She's Kinda Hot at first. But this song was the weaker one. It just felt like She's Kinda Hot 2.0 which wasn't a good sign at all. But I do like this song. I just think it should have stayed as an album track. It got a good music video though
125. Tinashe f. Iggy Azalea - All Hands On Deck
Tinashe still has some songs in, so saying goodbye to one of them isn't a big deal. This song is a bop, but I was more drawn to Tinashe's more euphoric songs that were fan favorites. But hey, this song is still good.
124. Calvin Harris f. Disciples - How Deep Is Your Love?
Not exactly the biggest fan of Calvin going into house type of music, but this song does have a nice breakdown. Disciples has kind of a weird voice...but oh well. Doesn't make the song bad. Just makes it unique. Gigi Hadid is gorgeous in the music video for this btw
123. Daya - Hide Away
I find it interesting how this song is taking off despite being released only not too long ago. This song is cute and I can see it smashing in 2016.
122. Little Mix - Black Magic
Little Mix this era was kind of disappointing. Aside from this song, nothing has really stood out to me. The music video for this song actually slays though. I just wish this went Top 40 in the US, but at least it outpeaked Wings.
121. Charlie Puth f. Meghan Trainor - Marvin Gaye
Another song where the music video slays but the song isn't completely there. This song is a nice jam, and both Charlie and Meghan do their thing on this track. But I guess it just wasn't upbeat enough for me. With that said, I loved the music video.
Artists Eliminated This Batch:
Charlie Puth
Daya
Disciples
Iggy Azalea (for real )
Little Mix
P!nk
I kind of wish Jet Black Heart had the single treatment over Hey Everybody and that it was actually released in the summer. Oh well. Hey Everybody is fun though
I like AHOD and the video also
Calvin and Charlie had some nice ones too. Honestly, I like this sound for Calvin more over, say, Outside.
