And it might be for both or just the first one. Age of Ultron alone cost over $300M to make.

exactly, that's why ~$250mil budget for one movie seems like it's not "enough".. but then again they have most of the cgi created from previous movies so they can copy&paste most of the stuff which I guess makes the movie cheaper? Idk

anyway, Gamora was confirmed to appear in A3/4, which is a given......

Scotland has lots of different landscapes that can be useful for big space movie. Plus you can be sure there are some tax rebates involved. It's $250M per movie which is usual for Avengers/Star Wars/BvS type of movies. In reality they all cost north of $300M per film but studios chase big tax breaks across the globe. They get especially big incentives in Canada, London, Atlanta etc. Plus the fact that Russos are shooting both movies back to back and don't have to shut down the production also makes things cheaper.

Avengers movies are better than the two Captain America movies made by the Russos. I still like to watch the first Avengers and the second one is great too if you ignore the editing issues of Marvel setting up 10 different things for Phase3. I tried to watch Civil War again recently and it was so boring, I couldn't get through it. The cinematography is so painfully uninteresting and everything about the movie except performances screams 'mediocre'. Joss wrote and directed real epics. Russos are dull and generic btw box office agrees, Civil War got stuck at less than 1.2B WW which indicates that repeat viewings weren't as strong as Joss' films and he didn't have Spider Man.
