Forget top 20 hits, if The Pleasure Principle hadn't inexplicably stalled at #14 (proof that chart position doesn't necessarily amount to a memorable song), she'd be the only one with 6 or more top 10s from three different albums. Five top 5s from Control, seven top 5s from Rhythm Nation, and four top 5s and two top 10s from janet. Out of her 30 top 20 hits, only 2 missed the top ten: TPP which, as I mentioned, stalled at 14, and Feedback, which was lucky enough to reach #19 with no radio support. She had an additional #5 Hot 100 song with Herb Alpert on Diamonds but was only credited on the R&B chart due to some Billboard rule which they never actually explained.
