Gaga will make it. It's dumb to assume she'll be doing the same thing in a few years as she is doing now; what she's doing now is extremely different from her The Fame days. Plus, the general public will be here for her if she just goes a little more commercial and cuts the crap with stuffing the album with filler. When she's old she'll probably do some jazz or something if she has to, but I see her in dance and pop for quite a while yet.
Gaga fo sho. When she gets old, I see her putting a fashion empire ala Donatella Versace and the Haus of Gaga will live on. Or she can star in a movie and make jazz records and continue to be relevant
dont know why Christina is included, she hasnt a top 5 solo hit for a decade and hasnt been big in music for many years. she doesnt have longevity in music
Rihanna and Katy I have my thoughts about, Lady Gaga on the other hand I am still on the fence with. I feel she has a solid enough fanbase that'll support her in the years to come. Artists like Rihanna and Katy I feel won't last as long as they age, because while they're still sexy and in their prime will appeal to younger people but as time goes on the interest in then will die off. It's like they're surviving on looks. Maybe that's just me?
Gaga, absolutely. Her longevity is completely undeniable.
Beyoncé, also a given because she's such an icon. Plus she just can't keep her ass still.
I'm completely doubting Rihanna and Katy however; I think that about now is the point where Rihanna has run her course. A lot of people are getting tired of her, she sells out with a new album every year, she has no integrity etc. I just don't think people will maintain interest in the coming years.
Katy on the other hand, it's too early to tell considering she's only just finished her second era. I think the upcoming movie / length of her break will determine whether there's a place for her after 2012.
Rihanna is 7 years in. She's reach a point in fame where she is well known that even if she still doesnt put out nearly as much projects, lets say 3 albums in the span of 10 more years she will make it and they dont even need to be as successful as lets say a Loud.
Beyoncé - obviously and gracefully! She's already making sure she has mature and good quality songs that she can still sing the older she gets... plus the fact that she gets better (vocally and performance wise) the older she gets...
Shakira - 22 years and counting... a latin legend that conquered the world! she'll live forever!
Katy / Rihanna - I would DIE to see the day where they are both about 40 years old and singing "S&M", "Cockiness", "Peacock"... althought I don't think they will last that long...
Gaga - Her next album will determinated her future in the industry... she HAS to deliver otherwise the credibility she earned will die off...
