Several musical acts rose and fell this year. Some hit their arguable peak critically and commercially while others seemed to hit rock bottom and are headed on a sinking ship to oblivion. Thankfully, these next 10 artists are not headed on a downhill slope, rather (at least in my opinion) have a bright future ahead of them in the coming years! To be clear, this specific countdown measures the artists who "won" 2015 and are the most (musically) relevant to me! Hihi
~ Top track: Wildest Dreams ~
It really is difficult not to love T-Swizzle and I guess that's one reason she lands the no. 7 position on this years top artists countdown. From Bad Blood to Wildest Dreams, Taylor seems to be choosing the perfect singles and in my opinion Talor in 2015 > Taylor in 2014. She gets better every year.
So the hardest part when creating this best of was coming up with ONLY 20 songs for the countdown. There were so many amazing pop/r&b songs that came out this year that this was truly a struggle for me to decide but here it is after weeks of deliberation. And as a disclaimer: with me being a major pop fan, most of the songs in this countdown will be pop. So sit down, grab a bucket of popcorn and get ready to be entertained!

Placing at no. 7 on this years countdown is a song I happened to discover here on atrl. "Lush Life" is quite a unique song to say the very least. It's very summery and fun with hints of electrodance. Also did you know this girl is only 17??? like woah what were you doing when you were 17 that was this good?
This list was fairly easy to come up with surprisingly. There were some really amazing apstand outs this year and I think I did a pretty good job at acknowledging them and placing them in their prospective rankings. Will you agree? You'll just have to find out!

Probably my most anticipated movie of the year, Age of Ultron didn't really live up to it's predecessor in many ways. The movie was fun and stuff but the action sequences seemed messy and rushed. I'm still very happy with the turn out, it's just that I had slightly higher expectations or else it would probably place higher on this countdown.
I love magnets so much it's already my most played lorde song

I may not be the biggest Demi Lovato fan but I must admit that she finally came through this year. She really has been doing nothing for me these past years but she (kind of) won me back this year. "Cool For The Summer" did her a lot of favors in my book.

Yes I know yall hate this song but even as underwhelming as it is, it still manages to be one of the best songs released this year in my opinion. On first listen I was severely dissatisfied and just not ok with it but after a month+ I can say that the song is definitely a grower and by far one of my faves of 2015. Ariana can never really do any wrong in my book!

As the hunger games franchise came to an end, I was expecting a lot from the movie and it seriously delivered. Given its poor source material, Mockingjay seemed to successfully wrap up the series in a way that wasn't cheesy or rushed. The action sequences and writing were beautifully executed as well.
I haven't read any of the Hunger Games books, but I watched the movies with my younger sister and the final movie was pretty good. It wrapped things up nicely.
Taylor. I actually prefer Focus to Problem as well.
