Luckily, One Direction managed to make friends pretty quickly and have been bestest chums ever since.
“When we first got asked to the judges houses as a group, we went to Harry’s house for a weekend and got straight into making sure we were going to be friends,” Niall Horan told We Love Pop magazine.
“Then we started working on the music side. His stepdad has a bungalow at the back of the house so we all stayed in that.”
“It could have gone so wrong,” said Louis. “There could have been just one person in the group who didn’t gel or wanted to do things differently. Luckily there isn’t.”
The boys have spent so much time living inside each other’s pockets that they can’t bear to spend time apart!
“When we’re not together we text each other every day saying, ‘Hey, I miss you.’ “ said Zayn.
“It’s a bit girly, but when you’ve spent that much time together you’re used to it.”
“We often say that [we would have been mates at school] actually,” chipped in Louis.
So does Harry feel the pressure to do things like wear clothes and not whisper things about cats into people’s ears on live tv? He told We Love Pop:“There’s a lot of pressure to be a good role model and people are keen to pigeonhole you as soon as you give them something to work with.”
But would he give up the fame game? “No because I know I miss it the second I go home for a day.” Well thank flip for that. We miss you the second you go home too.

One Direction have reportedly been banned from dating girls.
According to Heat, Zayn Malik split from fellow X Factor contestant Rebecca Ferguson under orders from the group’s management.
“The boys were seemingly rounded up by their advisors and told that as their main market will be teenage girls, it would be best if they were single,” an alleged insider told Heat.
“There was more pressure on Zayn, who is the band’s number one totty and main singer because he’s so fit.”
Malik reportedly hopes to reunite with Ferguson when the band’s schedule is less hectic.
“Zayn thinks they still have a future, but is asking for Rebecca to be patient with him while he follows his dreams,” a supposed friend added to the publication.
“He told her he wants to focus on his career for the next few months and felt he couldn’t give her and her children enough time and that would be unfair.”
