Selena clearly won even without begging for votes. Besides, if Miley knew she wouldn't be there and HADN'T recorded a video, she'd already know that she didn't win. Instead, she found out when the show aired just like Selena probably did.

If you didn't notice by now, these Disney stan wars have been going on since forever
(it started since they all were friends / enemies / hooked up and have dated each other - the girls and the Jonas Brothers, that is). I'm pretty sure they're aware of this by the mean tweets all these fanbases send to each other.
