I do think that in terms of critics and people in the industry, artists like Nicki and Rihanna get as much coverage/respect as Beyoncé/Gaga/Britney. And I'm sure that a large amount of the general public considers all of them, Katy and Kesha included, similar in a lot of ways. Outside of ATRL, they're not as uneven as people here think.

DEAD at being the last name on every one. She probably added some 'and's', 'or's' or 'the's' in each song.

Rihanna ( Singing 4, Lyrics n/a, Dancing 3, Instruments n/a = 7)
Katy ( Singing 3, Lyrics 2, Dancing 2, Instruments idk = 7)
Ke$ha ( Singing 3, Lyrics 4, Dancing 3, Instruments 4 = 14)
Britney ( Singing n/a, Lyrics 2, Dancing 4, Instruments n/a = 6
Old Britney ( Singing 3, Lyrics 2, Dancing 5, Instruments 2 = 12)
So those are the points accumulated which would rank them as such:
1) Gaga
2) Ke$ha
3) Old Britney
4) Beyonce*
5) Adele*
6) Rihanna, Katy*
8) Britney
*= Not enough knowledge about artist.
And this is the list now considering talent lbr

I can take your comment more seriously now. BUT Ke$ha still isn't 1 in singing. She has the voice for a 3 tbh

She is LAST in practically all of those credits meaning she wrote the least. For all we know she could've just added one word or line.
I love the bitch but let's not do too much now.
Britney's written more songs and several of them have her as the FIRST writer meaning she wrote the most.

Adele and Beyoncé are the only ones who are really apart from the others.
Gaga does have talent but she's just a "freak" to non-ATRLers / non-music stans.

Nicki basically jacked Gaga's whole "I'm weird" thing and used it for herself. Katy's E.T video had eccentric visuals despite the song being about alien sex. She could have easily made that video into what she normally does, but instead she went all weird.
|
But didn't Gaga just take Madonna's whole outrageous outfit thing and raise it to the next level? Gaga has changed the pop genre, as far as performances and the visuals. But I think people can wear strange outfits without the comparisons to Gaga. Ugh.

Sorry, but I'm sure the general public thinks Rihanna and Katy are above Nicki (even though I love her) and Kesha.

lmao any1 can get a writing credit and no1 will ever try to prove that they didn't write it. U can change 3 words of a song and get writing credits it's all business and MONEY. Some people could of helped some1 write a song but they don't ask for writing credits (dumbasses yes, but they do it) and just get a big fat check lol

I kind of agree with this thread. Apart from in no way is Lady Gaga on the same level as Britney and Beyonce lol. Britney and Beyonce have been in pop music since I was a little child. Lady Gaga released her first single when I was in college. She's been around for like 2 years. Maybe in 2020 you can list her with the greats, but not this soon.
